Have You Heard of QuestBridge?
If you know a high-achieving student from a low-income family who dreams of attending a top college, please tell them about QuestBridge.
An Opportunity Worth Knowing About
This could completely change what college looks financially possible.
Through the QuestBridge National College Match, students can be admitted to one of dozens of top colleges with a full four-year scholarship covering tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel—with no loans and no parental contribution.
Who Should Take a Serious Look?
Motivated, high-achieving students with significant financial need.
Financial profile
QuestBridge says typical Finalists often come from households earning less than about $65,000 for a family of four with minimal assets, although that is a guideline rather than a hard cutoff.
Academic profile
Typical Finalists earn mostly A's, take challenging courses, and rank near the top of their class. Among Finalists who report ACT scores, scores often fall around 27–33. A 28 is not a formal requirement.
The Odds Are Better Than Many Families Realize
Still competitive—but a very real opportunity.
In recent years, roughly 2,500 students per year have received QuestBridge Match Scholarships. That is a much larger number of recipients than some other nationally known programs.
For perspective, The Gates Scholarship awards about 300 students per year, while Posse selects hundreds of Scholars nationally. These programs are not perfectly comparable, but QuestBridge's scale is one reason we think more eligible families should know it exists.
