Yes—but use them for what they are good at: extra practice, finding weaknesses, and figuring out what to study next.

This could be an excellent free practice tool.

Google has announced free, full-length ACT practice tests in Gemini created in partnership with The Princeton Review. After testing, Gemini can break down performance by topic and help students decide what to work on next.

We especially like the potential for Math: use it to discover concepts you do not know yet, then ask Gemini for more practice on those exact skills.

The Important Distinction

Use Gemini for practice—not prediction.

Use Gemini for:

  • Extra practice questions
  • Finding Math concepts you still need to learn
  • Identifying weak topics
  • Getting recommendations about what to study next
  • Generating additional drills on a specific skill

Do not rely on it for:

  • Predicting your actual ACT score
  • Learning exactly what official ACT questions feel like
  • Replacing official released ACT practice material

How to access an ACT practice test in Gemini

Open Gemini and sign in

Use the Gemini website or mobile app and sign in with your Google account.

Ask for the ACT practice test

Start a new conversation and type:

Generate a full-length practice test for the ACT.

Choose the full test or a section

If the ACT practice-test experience is available on your account, Gemini should allow you to take the full test or work on individual sections.

Review your performance

When you finish, review the section results and use Gemini's performance analysis to identify weak areas.

Turn weaknesses into practice

Ask Gemini to give you more problems on the specific Math concepts or other topics you missed.

One current limitation: Google announced the ACT feature in June 2026, but its current Gemini Help page still does not list ACT among the universally supported full-length practice tests. If Gemini gives you a generic AI-created quiz instead of the dedicated ACT experience, the rollout may not have reached your account yet.

The Bottom Line

Gemini gives students another great free way to practice.

Use it aggressively to find weaknesses, practice Math, and figure out what you should study next.

But when you want to know what real ACT questions look like—or what you are actually likely to score—go back to official ACT material.
